Hollister Co. is returning to Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, according to a report by Robert Dyer.
Hollister Co. is a retail clothing brand owned by Abercrombie & Fitch, known for its Southern California–inspired casualwear aimed at teens and young adults. Its beach-themed stores typically feature graphic tees, jeans, and loungewear, all sold in a laid-back environment.
The brand previously had a location at Montgomery Mall, which closed in 2016. An opening date for the new store has not yet been announced.
In other retail news, Gap has confirmed it will permanently close its Montgomery Mall location later this month. The store is currently holding a going-out-of-business sale. Gap, a national apparel chain, is known for casual clothing and accessories for men, women, and children. Other Gap stores in Montgomery County include locations in Bethesda Row, Clarksburg (outlet), Chevy Chase, and Rockville.
Montreal-based fashion retailer Garage has also recently opened in the former Aeropostale space. Popular among young women, Garage specializes in trend-driven casual wear, offering denim, dresses, loungewear, and accessories with a laid-back, fashion-forward aesthetic.
