New and Coming Soon to Kentlands

Below is a list of businesses that have recently opened or are coming soon to Gaithersburg’s Kentlands:

AH’HAAN is now open at 237 Kentlands Blvd, the former home of Good Fortune Cafe. Ah’haan is a sister restaurant to the well-known Bangkok Garden, a MoCo family business that has been serving the community since 1984. The original Bangkok Garden served Bethesda for 37 years and its legacy continues with a Rockville location.

Andy’s Pizza is opening a new location at 145 Commerce Square Place, taking over the space formerly occupied by MOD Pizza, which closed in March 2024. A representative from Andy’s noted, “The opening is a long way off, so we do not even have a date at this time. We will make an announcement on our social media for our grand opening when the time comes.” Known for its 72-hour cold-fermented dough baked in a New York deck oven, Andy’s Pizza offers a crisp crust, chewy interior, and a subtle sour flavor. The menu also includes salads, wings, fries, and more.

Goodwill Donation Express is now open at 58 Market St. The site accepts donations of household goods, apparel, electronics, and housewares, and also offers a small selection of books for sale. According to Brendan Hurley, Goodwill’s Chief of Collaboration, Communication & Marketing, the location is primarily focused on serving as a convenient drop-off point for community donations. Goodwill of Greater Washington is a local nonprofit that provides jobs, job training, education, and supportive services to people facing barriers to employment in the DMV region.

Häagen-Dazs is now open at 211 Market St W. The ice cream shop is located in the space previously occupied by Bel Pre Family Denta. Häagen-Dazs currently has additional Montgomery County locations at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda and at 1516 Rockville Pike.

KOR Artisanal Bistro put up signage at 216 Main Street last year. We don’t have any news to report, but if it does open it will be taking over the space previously occupied by Kathy’s Gallery & Frames.

Onekick Martial Arts, a well-respected name in the local martial arts community, is opening its second location at 255 Kentlands Blvd. This new site will occupy the space formerly held by Charm City Run, which closed its doors in January after two and a half years of operation. This expansion comes as a response to the growing demand for quality martial arts training in the area, and it marks an exciting new chapter for Onekick Martial Arts. With its original location thriving at 18311 Leaman Farm Rd in Germantown’s Kingsview Village Center, the addition of the Gaithersburg location will allow the school to reach and empower even more individuals and families.

Play Street Museum is now open at 227 Kentlands Blvd, located in the space that was previously occupied by Hallmark. Play Street Museum is known for its interactive, educational, and collaborative play environments. The Gaithersburg location features open play sessions during the week, which can be reserved in advance to ensure a clean and controlled environment. On weekends, the space is available for birthday parties.

Prime IV Wellness is schedule to open at 117 Commerce Square Pl. Prime IV offers treatments And IV infusions provided by medically licensed staff to help with hydration, athletic performance, anti-aging, hangover recovery, weight management, immunity boosts, altitude sickness, jet lag recovery, and more.

Quincy’s Clubhouse is coming 245 Kentlands Blvd. The country club style restaurant, bar, and golf venue is taking over the location that was recently home to Not Your Average Joe’s. A $990,000 permit to begin alterations in the space was approved this past spring and now ownership tells us that they’re hoping for a Fall opening.

Three New Restaurant/Retail Buildings Planned For Kentlands Square: Saul Centers, which manages a real estate portfolio including 61 properties such as Kentlands Square in Gaithersburg, has shared plans to develop three new restaurant/retail buildings on the parking area currently located between Giant/At Home and Chipotle/Lowes.

Saul Holdings Limited Partnership submitted Schematic Development Plan Application SDP-9073-in to the City of Gaithersburg in 2021, requesting approval of three additional infill commercial buildings totaling 21,700 square feet and associated minor site changes. The Mayor and City Council approved the plan on April 4, 2022.

This follows the earlier approvals for a 2,100 SF Starbucks building featuring a drive-through and outdoor seating, and a 4,700 SF Shake Shack building with outdoor seating– both of which have been built and opened in recent years.

The community isn’t just shopping-they’re returning. Kentlands isn’t just a location; it’s a habit. Kentlands Square is surrounded by a high-income, highly educated population. The center’s 1-mile and 3-mile trade areas showcase some of the most desirable socioeconomic indicators in suburban Maryland. Affluent households, education and professional demographic.

Nestled in the heart of Gaithersburg, Maryland, Kentlands Square & Kentlands Place is more than a shopping center— it’s a vibrant community hub surrounded by affluence, diversity, and consistent foot traffic. With a robust demographic profile and steady visitation trends, the center offers exceptional potential for sustained retail success and strategic tenant growth.
