Approximately 50 Firefighters Respond to Townhouse Fire, One Family Displaced

On Tuesday evening, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a kitchen fire on the lower level of a four-level townhouse on Dudley Lane in the Bristol Square neighborhood off Pooks Hill Road in Bethesda.

According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, smoke alarms alerted the residents, allowing them to safely evacuate, and the fire was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported, but at least one family is likely displaced, and approximately 50 firefighters were on the scene. A cat believed to have escaped was seen on the counter.
