Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to Tulip Drive in Gaithersburg on Monday after a trash truck gate failed under pressure, injuring a worker who was transported to a local trauma center.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the incident was initially dispatched as a commercial vehicle explosion, but there was no fire or explosion.
