Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) 2nd District officers responded to a reported person with a gun on Old Georgetown Road, prompting Northwood High School in Rockville to go into secure status on Thursday morning.
MCPD issued the following alert at 11:48am: “MCPD 2D officers dispatched to the 11200 block of Old Georgetown Road at 11:04 a.m. for a report of a person with a gun.
During this time @MCPS placed nearby Northwood HS in a secure status.
The report was unfounded and Officers have cleared the scene.”
