Toys”R”Us to Open New Flagship Store in Maryland

Toys”R”Us is continuing its comeback with the opening of a new flagship store at Arundel Mills in Hanover, Maryland, this October. The store will be part of a nationwide expansion by the iconic toy retailer, which is rolling out 10 new flagship stores and 20 seasonal holiday shops across the United States by year’s end.

The Arundel Mills location is currently hiring, with job postings seeking a store manager. According to the listing, “Toys“R”Us is a global brand with 70+ years of bringing joy and play to kids of all ages. We’re not just a toy store anymore—we’re reimagining what retail can be with interactive, immersive experiences that go way beyond the aisle. And we’re looking for passionate, people-loving leaders to help bring this new vision to life!

In addition to Arundel Mills, new Toys”R”Us stores are slated to open at Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora, Illinois (September 20), Camarillo Premium Outlets in Camarillo, California (October), and Bay Street in Emeryville, California, with additional locations coming soon in Long Beach, California; West Des Moines, Iowa; Omaha, Nebraska; and Thornton, Colorado, according to a report by The Street.

Toys”R”Us currently has pop-up shops inside every Macy’s store nationwide, including at Westfield Montgomery and Westfield Wheaton malls.

“As we head into the most magical time of the year, Toys”R”Us is reaching more kids and families than ever before,” said Kimberly Miller, Global Chief Marketing Officer for Toys”R”Us. “From new store openings with our global partners, to the launch of our second Global Holiday Play Day, to Geoffrey’s Birthday celebrated worldwide on October 17—and of course the main event in December—Toys”R”Us is creating joy and excitement for kids of all ages everywhere.”
