The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) announced that the body of 81-year-old George Frederick Corum, Jr., who was the subject of a Silver Alert, was found Sunday evening.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. on September 28, Corum was located in a heavily wooded area near Norbeck Road. Fourth District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Corum, who had dementia, was last seen on Tuesday, September 23, when he walked away from his home in the 15500 block of Bailey’s Lane in Silver Spring. Police said the circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation, but foul play is not suspected.
