Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a collision near Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church on Bradley Boulevard in Bethesda on Tuesday morning.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, a garbage truck left the roadway, struck a tree, snapped a utility pole, and overturned into the woods. The crash brought down wires and caused a fuel spill, leading to power outages in the area. Portions of Bradley Boulevard remain blocked while crews work to clear debris and restore service. The driver was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
We will provide an update if additional verified information becomes available.
