Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a collision involving an overturned dump truck near the 14700 block of Layhill Road by the ICC (MD 200) on Thursday afternoon.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the driver, who was trapped, was extricated and transported with Priority 2, non-life-threatening injuries. The truck was carrying concrete debris that spilled onto the roadway, blocking several lanes. Drivers are advised to expect delays and use caution in the area.
Alert Montgomery issued the following Severe Traffic Alert at 4:23pm: “Traffic incident closes southbound MD-182 (Layhill Rd) at MD-200 (ICC). Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”
