Per the news release: “Maryland’s sports wagering market generated $13,473,873 in contributions to the state during September 2025. Sports bettors in Maryland wagered $650,971,388 during the month and won back $577,911,350 in prizes. Sportsbook operators held 11.2% of the handle.
Retail sports wagering operators contribute 15% of their taxable proceeds to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund, which supports public education programs. Mobile sports wagering operators contribute 15% of their taxable proceeds to the Blueprint Fund and 5% to the state’s General Fund. For September 2025, the combined retail and mobile contribution to the Blueprint Fund was $10,184,238, while $3,289,635 in mobile proceeds went to the General Fund.
