Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a collision Tuesday morning on I-495 between Connecticut Avenue and Georgia Avenue.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the collision involved two tractor-trailers and several other vehicles, with one tractor-trailer overturned in the median. Multiple lanes were blocked in both directions on and some residual delays may remain.
7:13am update: “Traffic incident closes two left lanes of I-495 Inner Loop and one left lane of I-495 Outer Loop at MD-185 (Connecticut Avenue). Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”
