Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded Monday to a fire at the Barnesville School on Peach Tree Road in Barnesville involving the building’s backup generator system.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the fire was quickly contained to the generator utility room, with no injuries reported and no impact to classroom areas. The building inspector was called to the scene.
