Mangino’s Closes in Germantown

Mangino’s first opened more than a decade ago inside the Express Gas Station at 13001 Wisteria Dr. (now a 7-Eleven), where it earned a loyal following for its New York-style pizza. In 2018, the restaurant moved a few doors down into Germantown Plaza, expanding its space and menu to include more traditional Italian entrées.

Per reviews, longtime customers say Mangino’s was known for its hearty portions, garlic knots, and classic Italian-American comfort food, the kind of neighborhood spot where staff remembered your order and families gathered after local games.

We’re told the space will soon become home to Tino’s Italian Restaurant, which is expected to feature a similar menu and casual dining style. Renovations are already underway, and signage for Tino’s is expected to appear in the coming weeks.
