The Kentlands Community Foundation, in partnership with Kimco Realty, will host its annual Tree & Menorah Lighting Celebration on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Kentlands Market Square in Gaithersburg.
The event, titled “A Celebration of Light, Community & Holiday Tradition,” brings together residents, families, and local organizations for an evening of holiday music, activities, and shared traditions. Highlights include the official tree lighting led by the Mayor of Gaithersburg, a Chanukah blessing during the Menorah lighting, live performances by the Gaithersburg Chorus, and holiday music from a DJ and strolling carolers.
Santa Claus will make a grand entrance aboard a Rockville Volunteer Fire Department fire truck, greeting families and posing for photos. Guests can also enjoy crafts, raffles, giveaways, seasonal treats, and free glowing holiday lights for children and families.
The celebration runs until 7:30 p.m., offering plenty of photo opportunities and festive cheer to mark the beginning of the holiday season in Kentlands.
