Radio Station to Distribute 26,000 Meals to Families in Need This Saturday in Rockville

WGTS 91.9, in partnership with Convoy of Hope, will distribute free family care packs on Saturday, November 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Rockville headquarters to support households facing food insecurity following the recent government shutdown. Families can drive or walk up with no paperwork required to receive a pre-packed bag of groceries and basic supplies, available while supplies last.

According to ABC7, WGTS plans to distribute 26,000 meals at the event.

Many families in our community are struggling to afford groceries —especially after the recent government shutdown left many households stretched thin and trying to catch up.

It’s why WGTS 91.9, together with Convoy of Hope, is stepping in to provide free family care packs for any family who needs it this weekend — so you can head home with supplies and one less worry on your shoulders.

Come to the WGTS 91.9 headquarters in Rockville to pick up a pre-packed bag for a family of four.
