Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded around 6:50 p.m. on Thursday to a fire in a second-floor bedroom of a duplex on Curry Powder Lane in Germantown.
According to MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, the fire was quickly knocked down and extinguished. All occupants and nearby residents evacuated safely, and no injuries were reported. Approximately 20 people were displaced, and about 75 firefighters responded to the scene.
