Lands’ End to Close Rockville Store in January

Lands’ End is closing its store at 1667 Rockville Pike in Congressional Plaza on January 24, with a store closing sale now underway, as first reported by Robert Dyer.

Lands’ End, founded in 1963 in Chicago as a mail-order yachting supply business, has since grown into a national retailer known for its apparel, outerwear, uniforms, luggage, and home goods.

The closure comes one month after Federal Realty announced that Nordstrom Rack will open a 26,000-square-foot store at Congressional Plaza in fall 2026. The new store will be located at 1683 Rockville Pike, previously home to Buy Buy Baby and, most recently, a Spirit Halloween.
