$1.6B Powerball Jackpot Grows as Four Maryland Players Win $50,000

Four Maryland Powerball players each won $50,000 in third-tier prizes over the past week as the jackpot grew to an estimated $1.6 billion, with winning tickets sold in Bowie, Gwynn Oak, Hagerstown, and Stevensville.

“As the Powerball jackpot swelled to an annuity value of $1.6 billion, four players in Maryland were off by one in the past week for $50,000 third-tier wins. The four big wins – one each in Bowie, Gwynn Oak, Hagerstown and Stevensville – were among 26 Maryland Lottery scores of $10,000 or more in the past week.
