Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a house fire in the 10300 block of Fleming Avenue, off Grosvenor Lane, in Bethesda on Thursday, December 25.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, firefighters arrived around 6:45 p.m. to find a single-family home with fire throughout the first floor. Approximately 65 firefighters were deployed to the scene.
Five adult residents were transported to area hospitals by MCFRS emergency medical units, including three patients classified as Priority 1 and two as Priority 2. All were reported to be in serious condition. Firefighters also resuscitated at least one large dog. The fire was brought under control following the response.
