Maryland’s six casinos generated $159.8 million in slot machine and table game revenue in December 2025, down 2.6% from December 2024, with $67.9 million contributed to the state, including $49.0 million for the Education Trust Fund.
For the first half of Fiscal Year 2026, total casino revenue reached $968.1 million and state contributions totaled $415.6 million, both modestly lower than the same period last year.
Per the news release distributed on Tuesday, January 6: “Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $159,778,289 in revenue from slot machines and table games during December 2025. The statewide total was a decrease of $4,326,961, or 2.6%, compared to December 2024.
Casino gaming contributions to the state during December 2025 totaled $67,897,383, a decrease of $1,940,566, or 2.8%, compared to December 2024. The December 2025 contributions included $48,992,985 to the Education Trust Fund, a decrease of $1,420,323, or 2.8%, compared to December 2024.
Through the first six months of Fiscal Year 2026 (July 2025 through December 2025), casino gaming revenue is $968,069,857, down 1.8% compared to the same period in FY2025; and contributions to the state are $415,589,289, down 1.5% year-over-year.
In addition to the Education Trust Fund, casino gaming revenues support the communities and jurisdictions where the casinos are located, Maryland’s horse racing industry, and small, minority- and women-owned businesses.
Maryland’s six privately owned casinos offer both slot machines and table games: MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County; Live! Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel County; Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Baltimore City; Ocean Downs Casino in Worcester County; Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County; and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County.
