Fresh Baguette to Open Germantown Cafe, Offering Free Croissants for a Year for First 20 Guests

Fresh Baguette is opening a new bakery cafe next to its production facility at 19548 Amaranth Drive, off Middlebrook Road, in Germantown

According to the Fresh Baguette, the Germantown location is scheduled to open on Wednesday, January 28, with a grand opening celebration featuring free baguettes for all guests, free croissants for a year for the first 20 people in line, prizes, and a fundraiser benefiting a local nonprofit.

Founded in 2013 by Florent de Felcourt, a former French naval officer, Fresh Baguette has grown to multiple locations, including cafes in Bethesda and Rockville. The company is known for its traditional French baking methods, including stone ovens imported from France and a cold dough process using homemade levain, which the bakery says produces a baguette that is light, airy, and crisp.
