A Silver Spring resident has been selected for a VIP trip to the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles through a Maryland Lottery promotion.
According to the Maryland Lottery, Barbara Henderson was chosen through the Lottery’s Keno Team USA second chance promotion and is the first of five winners to receive the prize. The package includes a trip for two with airfare, five nights of hotel accommodations, tickets to four Olympic events, meals, ground transportation, $1,000 in spending money, and Team USA apparel.
The Maryland Lottery said Henderson, a retired banker, plans to bring one of her daughters on the trip and is looking forward to attending track and field and gymnastics competitions. The Lottery noted that additional winners will be selected as part of the promotion, with drawings scheduled through February.
