MCFRS crews responded to a vehicle fire Sunday night in Clarksburg involving a dump truck. In addition to the fire, crews had to deal with 11 inches of snow/sleet on the ground.
According to MCFRS Assistant Chief David Pazos, firefighters were dispatched at approximately 8:46pm to the area of Clarksburg Road and Snowden Farm Parkway for reports of a large vehicle fire. Upon arrival, crews located a dump truck actively on fire. All occupants were safely out of the vehicle and no injuries were reported.
MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer said multiple units responded to the scene, including PE735, E734, AT735, W735, and BC705, along with additional resources. The fire was extinguished without further incident. No word has been released on what caused the fire.
