Public Briefing Planned on County Snow Response

Montgomery County Council President Natali Fani-González has added a briefing on Winter Storm and Snow Operations to the County Council’s agenda for Tuesday, February 3, at 1:30 pm.

The briefing will review Montgomery County’s response to the recent high-impact winter storm that affected much of the region and address concerns raised by residents about snow removal and cleanup efforts.

County officials are expected to present an overview of storm preparations, communication with residents, and the progress of cleanup operations, as well as challenges encountered during the response, including heavy snow and ice conditions, equipment issues, and reporting inconsistencies. The discussion will also focus on lessons learned and potential improvements to future snow operations. The briefing will take place during the Council’s public meeting, which will be available to watch live on the Council’s website, social media platforms, and County Cable Montgomery.
