Police Say No Shots Fired After Firecracker Incident at Montgomery Mall

Montgomery County Police 2nd District officers responded to Montgomery Mall in Bethesda around 7:30pm on Saturday after firecrackers were set off inside the food court, prompting a police and fire response.

According to Montgomery County Department of Police, officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services were dispatched to the scene to investigate. Police said there were no reported injuries and confirmed that no shots were fired. The incident caused a brief disruption inside the mall as authorities ensured public safety.

8:06pm Update: MCPD officers remain on scene at Montgomery Mall and are circulating throughout the mall to ensure public safety. There are no reported injuries.
