The Nibbler has permanently closed its dine-in location at 18556 Woodfield Road in Gaithersburg. The restaurant, which served Peruvian and international cuisine, announced the closure in a social media post on January 24, citing a transition to a new business model.
In its statement, the restaurant said it is shifting to a catering and takeout-only operation. “The Gaithersburg MD location is closing permanently, but this does not mean goodbye,” the post stated. Owners said customers will still be able to order menu items for pickup and catering once the transition is complete. The restaurant said it will share updated contact information when available and encouraged customers with catering inquiries to email [email protected].
The Nibbler offered a menu featuring Peruvian-inspired appetizers such as fried calamari with garlic sauce, beef and chicken empanadas, cheese-filled potato cakes, papa a la huancaína, tamales, and house-made dipping sauces. Entrée options included Lomo Saltado and Pollo Saltado, Aji de Gallina in yellow pepper sauce, Bistec a la Limeña with steak and plantains, grilled salmon, Milanesa breaded chicken, beef and chicken anticuchos, arroz chaufa fried rice, and a Peruvian-style steak sandwich.
