“Fire in Ice” Returns to Downtown Frederick February 6 and 7

The annual “Fire in Ice” winter festival will return to downtown Frederick on Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 7.

The event features live ice carving demonstrations, food trucks, scavenger hunts, and fire performances, drawing visitors to the city’s central business district for two days of seasonal activities.

The event will begin Friday evening with fire performances and a live ice carving demonstration. On Saturday, visitors can view more than 100 ice sculptures displayed throughout downtown and watch additional live carvings during the day. Other attractions include life-sized ice sculptures, ice putt-putt holes, the first-ever ice slide, a food truck court, marshmallow roasting stations, and a polar lounge. Organizers said the festival is designed to showcase downtown Frederick while offering family-friendly winter entertainment.
