Police Investigating Church Break In

Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police’s 5th District Investigative Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a commercial burglary that occurred in late January in Clarksburg.

According to police, the incident took place around 2:13 am on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the Community of Faith Methodist Church, located in the 22420 block of Frederick Road. Investigators say the suspect walked around the front of the church and attempted to open a door before gaining entry by breaking through a window.

Police describe the suspect as wearing a black open-face motorcycle helmet, black-framed glasses, a black jacket with yellow reflective stripes, a gray backpack with a black pouch, dark blue jeans, and black shoes with white soles.
