Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a vehicle fire on Tuesday evening in the 29800 block of Gaelic Court in Germantown that extended to a end-unit townhouse, prompting a second alarm for additional manpower.
According to MCFRS spokesperson David Pazos, firefighters arrived to find flames visible on the exterior of the home, with one adult resident trapped on a rear deck and unable to exit safely. Crews rescued the resident and confirmed that all three adult occupants were accounted for and uninjured. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze and check for any extension into the structure. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist residents who were displaced as a result of the incident.
