Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will be hosting a free Upcounty Travel Training Workshop to help residents learn how to navigate public transportation options in Germantown and across the region.
The workshop will be held on Friday, February 27, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Germantown Library, located at 19840 Century Boulevard. Residents who register and attend will be entered into a raffle for a Visa gift card, and refreshments and MCDOT giveaways will be available.
During the session, participants will learn how to use trip-planning tools and apps, access Metro senior and low-income discount programs, and better understand local transit services. The workshop will also cover commuting alternatives such as car sharing, bikeshare, e-scooters, teleworking, and FareShare programs. For more information, residents may contact MCDOT Commuter Services at 202-417-8584.
