Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to an early morning report of burning wires around 3:00 am Monday in the 19500 block of Frederick Road at the Middlebrook Gardens Mobile Home Park in Germantown.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, Engine 734 located a power line fire that had spread into the walls of a nearby home and quickly brought the situation under control. The fire was determined to be accidental and caused by electrical issues related to power problems. Damage is estimated at approximately $10,000, and one family was displaced as a result. No injuries were reported.
