Will Jawando, chair of the Education and Culture Committee, will host three public forums to discuss the Fiscal Year 2027 operating and capital budget recommendations for Montgomery County Public Schools and Montgomery College.
He will be joined by MCPS Superintendent Thomas Taylor and Montgomery College President Jermaine Williams. The forums are intended to give residents an opportunity to discuss issues such as school facility needs, safety and security, staffing, and support services for vulnerable students.
The first forum will be held virtually on Wednesday, February 25, at 6:30 pm. Two in-person meetings will follow on Wednesday, March 4, at 6:30 pm at Rockville High School, and Wednesday, March 11, at 6:30 pm at Albert Einstein High School. Translation services will be available at the in-person events. The forums are open to the public, and media members are encouraged to attend with advance RSVP.
