Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard will celebrate the First Day of Spring on Friday, March 20 by giving away a free 6 ounce Italian Ice to guests at more than 600 locations nationwide, with the company expecting to serve around one million cups during the annual event.
Rita’s locations reopen for the season on March 1 and include several in Montgomery County, including Burtonsville, Germantown, Rockville, and Silver Spring.
The company will also introduce a limited time Mystery PEEPS Italian Ice flavor as part of a collaboration with the PEEPS marshmallow brand. The flavor will be served as a white Italian Ice with its exact taste kept secret, and customers will be able to submit guesses online for a chance to win prizes, including free Rita’s Ice for a year.
