A couple from West Virginia recently claimed a $100,000 prize from the Maryland Lottery Holiday Raffle after purchasing the winning ticket in Bethesda.
The pair bought the ticket December 7 while visiting the area and stopping at Westlake Wine & Beer at 10442 Auto Park Ave. After returning home following the holidays, they checked their tickets from the January 2 drawing and realized they had one of the raffle’s top prizes.
The couple traveled back to Maryland on March 5 to claim the $100,000 prize at Lottery headquarters in Baltimore. In addition to the top prize, they also won smaller prizes of $50 and $500 on the same game.
