The Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Dickerson.
At approximately 1:11 pm, 5th District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the intersection of Dickerson Road and Mouth of Monocacy Road for a collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. According to investigators, a green 2005 Kawasaki ZX636 traveling westbound on Dickerson Road collided with a tan 2019 Subaru Ascent traveling southbound through the intersection.
The motorcyclist, identified as 32-year-old Michael Richard Bower of Hagerstown, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
