14-Year-Old Hospitalized After Stabbing, 16-Year-Old Suspect in Custody

Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police 5th District are investigating a stabbing that occurred Tuesday evening, March 24, 2026, in the 2700 block of Sweet Shrub Drive in Clarksburg.

Officers and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel responded around 8:13 pm for the report of a stabbing.

According to investigators, a 14-year-old male was stabbed following an argument on a bus that escalated into a physical altercation with a group of juveniles known to him. The victim later went to the nearby Harris Teeter store and called 911. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital. Police have taken a 16-year-old male into custody, and authorities say there is no ongoing threat to the community. The investigation remains active.
