One of the Top Smashburgers in Maryland is Parked in Front of a Fire Station

Everyone has their favorite smash burger, the one that they claim is better than the rest. With so many places serving them, it can be hard to tell the difference from one to another. But if you haven’t tried the smash burgers from Smash Akhs, you need to have it go head to head against your favorite. This food truck that is primarily stationed outside the Glenn Dale Fire Association in Glenn Dale, MD (11900 Glenn Dale Blvd) is serving up one of the best in the greater Maryland area.

Mr. 8 That rates every restaurant using two simple categories: price and taste, each scored on a scale of 1-5. Add the two scores together, and if a restaurant reaches a total of 8 or higher, it officially “8 that.”
Smash Akhs specializes in crispy-edged smash burgers, seasoned fries and over-the top milkshakes and mocktails. The menu leans into bold flavors as well as some comfort food favorites.
Mr. 8 That: “While I couldn’t commit to a milkshake (I was disappointed in myself), the strawberry mojito refresher did the trick. Strawberry flavor was present and sweet, but the addition of the fresh lime and mint helped cut how sweet it was. Refreshing is the perfect word. I got my crinkle cut fries right out of the fryer, so they were perfectly crispy and seasoned up just the right amount. The Bacon Akh threw its hat into the ring for top smash burger in the Maryland area. Double patty with crispy edges, loaded with beef bacon and layered with american cheese and their house sauce. Everything you want in a smash burger, and the flavor was on point!”
During his visit, Mr. 8 That tried thestrawberry mojito refresher, the crinkle cut fries and the Bacon Akh smash burger. He gave the flavor a 4.4 and the price a 4.4 leading to a total score of 8.9, meaning Smash Akhs definitely 8 that!
Smash Akhs is typically open from 11AM – 8PM everyday, with the exception of Saturday. Check their Instagram to see where they’ll be for the day, but they are primarily at the address below.
