The Germantown Historical Society will host a presentation titled “The Revolutionary War in Montgomery County” on Saturday, April 18 at 2 pm at its newly rehabilitated building located at 19330 Mateny Hill Road in Germantown.
The free event will be held in person only.
Historian Susan Cooke Soderberg will discuss the origins of the American Revolution, the renaming of lower Frederick County to Montgomery County, and the roles of local leaders, residents, and Loyalists during the war, along with the challenges faced on the home front.
