Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded around 12:30am Tuesday to the 200 block of Grove Avenue near Railroad Street in the Washington Grove/Gaithersburg area for a house fire.
Crews found a two-story single-family home with a fire contained to the kitchen, caused by unattended cooking.
Three adults were displaced as a result of the fire, but no injuries were reported. Officials noted there were no smoke alarms in the home at the time of the incident; however, responding crews installed smoke alarms before leaving the scene.
