Sport Clips Haircuts is set to open a new location at 872 Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg, marking a return to the area after closing its Kentlands shop at 720 Center Point Way in 2024 following a 10-year run.
That location originally opened in April 2014 as the franchise’s 1,200th store, and the chain has also operated another Gaithersburg site at 488 N Frederick Ave.
Founded in 1993 and headquartered in Georgetown, Texas, Sport Clips is a sports-themed haircut franchise specializing in services for men and boys. The company began franchising in 1995 and now operates nearly 1,900 locations across the U.S. and Canada. It ranked No. 44 on Entrepreneur’s 2024 Franchise 500 list and was also named a Top Franchise by Franchise Business Review.
