All-You-Can-Eat Wagyu Restaurant Moves Closer to Opening in Maryland

Genki Wagyu Shabu House is moving closer to opening in Rockville, with its liquor license hearing scheduled before Montgomery County Alcohol Beverage Services on Thursday, May 7. The hearing marks a key step in the approval process for the new restaurant.

The restaurant will be located at the corner of Festival Street and Rockville Pike in Twinbrook Quarter, next to Wegmans. The location will feature an all-you-can-eat Wagyu concept offering shabu-shabu, sukiyaki, and premium sushi. The opening will mark Genki’s first restaurant in Maryland.

The space will also be shared with Molly Tea, a jasmine tea beverage franchise originally from Shenzhen, China. Molly Tea specializes in Chinese tea drinks inspired by the “Four White Flowers of the East,” with a focus on jasmine aromas and traditional tea culture. The brand says it selects high-quality mountain tea leaves and scents them with fresh flowers to highlight the beauty of Chinese tea in everyday life.
