Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred Thursday afternoon in Rockville.
At approximately 3:40 pm on April 16, 2026, Rockville City Police and Fire Rescue personnel responded to the area of North Horners Lane and Southlawn Lane for a reported pedestrian collision involving a black 2011 Acura RDX. An adult female was located in the roadway and transported to an area hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. The identity of the decedent will be released following proper notification of next of kin.
