$50,000 Winning Lottery Ticket Sold at Maryland Gas Station

A Gaithersburg resident claimed a $50,000 prize on April 20 after winning on a scratch-off ticket, according to Maryland Lottery officials.

The man, a delivery driver, purchased the ticket at a Shell station on Quince Orchard Road while on his way home from work. After noticing multiple “Autowin” symbols on the ticket, he asked the clerk to scan it, which confirmed the $50,000 second-tier prize.

The winner said he was surprised by the result and plans to invest his winnings.
