Rahama African Restaurant is coming to 749 South Frederick Avenue in the Walnut Hill Shopping Center in Gaithersburg.
The restaurant will take over the space previously occupied by La Vina, which closed in June 2025 after eight years.
The menu is expected to feature West African dishes such as jollof rice, waakye, and fufu, along with other traditional offerings. Rahama African Restaurant currently operates other locations in Beltsville, MD, as well as Alexandria, Sterling and Woodbridge, VA.
Rahama will joim Honey Baked Ham, House Of Fortune, and the upcoming Sheetz in the center.
