Montgomery County Police have arrested 34-year-old Kilbert Rosales in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on April 25, in a parking garage at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda.
Police said Rosales approached two individuals sitting in a parked vehicle, opened the driver’s side door, and threatened them with a knife before taking cash and other property and leaving the scene. An off-duty officer was alerted by mall security, and responding officers later located Rosales nearby.
According to police, Rosales was taken into custody after being identified by the victim. During the arrest process, he resisted and allegedly assaulted officers, causing damage to a police cruiser. Authorities said he also assaulted correctional officers after being transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. Rosales has been charged with armed robbery and multiple related offenses and is being held without bond.
