Maryland Casinos Generate $172M in April

Maryland’s six casinos generated a combined $172.2 million in revenue from slot machines and table games in April 2026, marking the strongest monthly performance of the fiscal year and a 5.9% increase compared to April 2025.

Contributions to the state totaled $72.5 million, including $52.3 million directed to the Education Trust Fund, both reflecting year-over-year gains. Despite the strong April numbers, total casino revenue for the first 10 months of Fiscal Year 2026 stands at $1.6 billion, down 1.4% from the same period last year, with state contributions also slightly decreased. In addition to education funding, casino revenues support local communities, the horse racing industry, and small, minority- and women-owned businesses across Maryland.
