A Silver Spring woman won a $168,860 Maryland Lottery FAST PLAY progressive jackpot after purchasing a High Roller Blackjack ticket while stopping for gas at Georgia Fuel and Treats (Exxon) on Georgia Ave in Silver Spring.
The woman, who works in the medical field, said she initially thought she had won a smaller prize before realizing the ticket carried the six-figure jackpot.
The winner claimed the prize on May 12 and said she plans to use the money to purchase a condominium and add to her savings. The winning ticket was sold at Georgia Fuel and Treats, located at 9336 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, which will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
