Maryland State Highway Administration announced reduced speed limits along portions of MD 355 (Urbana Pike) in Frederick County following a recent traffic study aimed at improving roadway safety.
According to the agency, the speed limit between Lowes Lane and Technology Way has been lowered from 45 mph to 40 mph. The section between Technology Way and Urbana District Park has also been reduced, from 50 mph to 45 mph.
State highway officials said the changes are intended to create safer driving conditions for motorists traveling along the corridor.
