Rockville has begun designing a capital improvement project aimed at improving pedestrian and bicycle safety along North Stonestreet Avenue between Lincoln Avenue and Park Road.
City officials said the project will include new sidewalks and bike lanes, along with curbs, gutters, pavement improvements, drainage and stormwater management upgrades, signage, landscaping, and traffic signal modifications at the intersection of Park Road and South Stonestreet Avenue.
A virtual public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2 from 7 pm to 8 pm to gather community feedback on the project’s 30% design plans. Residents living near the project area have also received mailed notices about the meeting.
