Scotty’s Vodka, a family-run vodka company based in Frederick County, has been named a 2026 “Spirits Rising Star” by Beverage Dynamics magazine after posting a 53.1% increase in sales year-over-year.
The Maryland-based company was recognized in the publication’s Summer 2026 “Growth Brands” issue alongside several nationally recognized spirits brands like Crown Royal and Jack Daniels.
Scotty’s Vodka was founded after co-founder and master distiller Scotty Nash spent nearly a decade developing the recipe by hand before officially launching the brand during the COVID era. Company leaders said much of the brand’s growth has come through grassroots marketing, tastings, local events, and relationships with retailers and distributors across Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region.
The company emphasized its Maryland roots, noting that Scotty Nash still personally delivers product to Montgomery County retailers. Scotty’s Vodka has continued expanding throughout Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and West Virginia as one of the region’s fastest-growing independent vodka brands.
